Do you know a woman who wears many hats? She can be a mom, a single woman looking for love, a woman of marital complications, a student , maybe a daughter caring for an ill parent; Perhaps a woman of many riches, happy volunteering her time for a special cause, a woman proudly raising a child not biologically her own, a woman just looking for a new source of income to make ends meet, yet not able to spend enough time with her loved ones because she is always working; or she is a teenage dreamer who is thinking of her future, “How will I be able to pay for school?”or her mom thinking, “How will I afford to pay for my kids’ colleges?” “Will I ever retire?” or maybe just, “I want to take my family on a dream vacation”… Whoever she is, she is a dreamer. Women of so many hats dare to dream and make dreams a reality.
Shopping and Saving is something we all love to do everyday. And I am not referring to just shopping online or in a store, but in different aspects of our lives… We shop for opportunity, a better life, a way that can make ourselves a better person, a better mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, student, entrepreneur, etc. I know I am not the first nor the last that can relate in saying, “I have ambition, passion and vision, but only if I knew a way, or had a sign?” But no matter what, in this journey called life, we know, “I will succeed No Matter What It Takes.” What do you shop for?
I just returned from Las Vegas Nevada, where ShopBest launched their company at the Paris Hotel

With all this said, I take great pride in my decisions. Rough, bumpy roads behind me, but none the less I have found, “Solution,” “Hope,” “A Way.” Being laid off the first time during my maternity leave only a month after having my daughter, I knew… I knew that I had to do more than just depend on a salary from Corporate America. He who I worked for until 10 pm sometimes, easily cut my paycheck with no thought, no remorse; knowing that I needed every dollar I worked for as it was a source of income to provide for my home and two young children. I was forced to look for a new job just after Scarlett turned 1 month old. Forced to leave her so small with a babysitter, depriving us of our new bond. My plan was to be with her no less than three months like I was with my son Jaden in previous years. ”He” shattered that small dream.
This experience opened a new vision and light ahead of me. I chose to take charge of my life and stop letting people manipulate my fate… My self worth was too high and now it was time to unfold it. And, although I was forced to continue a 9 to 5 office job, I no longer left my path open for another manipulation… I prepared for the unexpected. I slowly started working on on my talents and passions. One of them being Taekwondo, and meeting people of greater mindsets.
I look back at what I have gone through and smile… Just earlier this year in 2010, I was laid off once again. This time with no surprise as it is obvious with this economy, no is safe. A window of opportunity opened for me. I have gone from a Laid Off Mom to A Toolbar Queen.
